Puan, Fadilah Binti Abdul Muthalib

Puan Fadilah Binti Abdul Muthalib graduated from International Islamic University in 1993 and subsequently was called to the Bar on 22nd March, 1994. Being an International Islamic University graduate, she has the added advantage of knowing Islamic Banking and Financial System.
Upon graduating, she chambered at the firm of M/s Albar, Zulkifly & Yap in Johor Bahru handling conveyancing and developers related matters. Upon completing her chambering, she returned to her hometown at Batu Pahat and was a legal assistant in the firm of M/s Ali Zaiton & Sallehrahman Tendot again having the advantage of handling financial institutions (litigation) and conveyancing matters relating to housing loans. Thereafter, she joined M/s Sucha Singh & Partners dealing with financial institution work concerning both litigation and housing loans documentation.
In May 1995, Puan Fadilah Binti Abdul Muthalib and Mr. Jaswant Singh set up an equal partnership firm known as M/s Jaswant Singh & Associates. Being an equal partner handling two offices at Batu Pahat and Tangkak, Puan Fadilah was handling private and public corporate matter, financial institutions and developers matter. She is well versed with litigation matter vis a vis Hire Purchase, Leasing, Consumer Loans, Card default, Bad debt Collection, Bankruptcy matters, Housing and Mortgage loan and other default related action, Insurance Claims and matter relating to National Land Code especially in regards to perfection of documentation. Further, while in M/s Jaswant Singh & Associates, Puan Fadilah was the sole partner who was in charged in handling matters related to M/s Celcom, BBMB Kewangan Berhad, Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad, Perwira Affin Bank Berhad, M/s Arab-Malaysian Finance Berhad, M/s Arab Malaysian Credit Berhad, M/s South Johore Securities, M/s MBf Finance Berhad and Multi-Purpose Finance Berhad.
Hence, having knowledge in conveyancing matter, Puan Fadilah was in charged of whole conveyancing department dealing with developers namely M/s Everlasting Expansion Sdn. Bhd., M/s EVG Enterprise (M) Sdn Bhd and M/s Flora Heights Sdn Bhd. On 1st April 1999, in order to provide fast, quality and excellent services, she team-up with Datuk Syed Hood Bin Syed Edros and set up a firm known as Fadilah & Hood.
She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (major in Human Resource) from the Multimedia University. In addition, Puan Fadilah has been appointed as Member of the Disciplinary Committee for Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board (Bar Council Malaysia).She is also engaged in domestic inquiry Industrial Court and Labour Department.
